You’re here means the topic is really interesting or you’re actually looking for an answer, the reason could be anything or may be something else. But one thing is for sure that the efforts you’re putting in for SEO isn’t paying back and Keywords could be the reason.
Because Keywords are the backbone of SEO and if they haven’t been chosen properly then you won’t be getting the results you’re hoping for. But no worries here I’ll be sharing some tips and the type of keywords you can use to get proper results. These tips have helped me, hoping the same for you.
Types of Keywords
Basically there are 3 main types of keywords.
1. Short Tail Keywords

These are the most important keywords and are a bit hard to rank for. As short tail keywords contain mainly one or two words not more than that. And they always have high volume and competition.
2. Long Tail Keywords

You must have gotten the idea what long tail keywords are and why they are so important. These kinds of keywords specifically have low search volume and low competition. You must be thinking if this is the case then why are they so important. But that is the reason which makes them worth adding in the page.
3. LSI [Latent Semantic Index(ing)] Keywords

I know it sounds complicated, but it isn't that scary. LSI keywords are related to, or variations, or synonyms of a primary keyword. As you can see in the above image SEO Audit is the main keyword and there are multiple suggestions to that keyword suggested by Google. Basically LSI Keyword is a part of Google’s improved algorithm. These keywords help to boost your website’s ranking in search engines, improve your content’s relevance & most important Related words increase the number of people who find your content.
How to choose keywords?
There are multiple paid and free tools available for the same. In this I'm not gonna tell you about the tools but certainly how to choose the keywords by using that tool. But if you’re interested in knowing which tools I use let me know I’ll try to write blog on tools as well.

So 1st what do you think, the above images are? Anyways I’m gonna explain to you but I want you to guess 1st. Okay now you must have guessed something let me have some clarity to that thought.
Above are the images from different tools, those tools are basically used for the Keyword Research purpose. Now you've got a list of keywords. The question comes: Which Keyword to pick? If you’ll see properly there are multiple columns Stating Search volume and Rank. And you’ll pick those keywords only which have High Search Volume & Low / Medium Competition. May it be Long tail, LSI or Short Tail. collect the keywords then segregate them as per category and start using them everywhere possible like in blogs, webpages, articles, ads, backlinks, tags & Specifically in Pages Meta Title & Desc.
