What is IoT (Internet of Things) and How Does it Work?

The Internet of Things (IoT) is nothing but the collection of network-enabled devices, excluding traditional computers like laptops and servers, such as Wi-Fi connections, Bluetooth connections, and near-field communication (NFC). IoT refers to smart devices like thermostats, home security systems, webcams and printers. Wearable technology, such as Apple Watches and Fitbits.
