What is Artificial Intelligence (AI) ?

AI is the branch of computer science that aims to answer questions & simulate human intelligence in machines. In a simple way the definition of AI is "building machines that are intelligent" But does it exactly answer the question "what artificial intelligence is?"
Developers use artificial intelligence to make tasks easy and efficient without manual touch, such as identify patterns & solve problems. To get started with AI, developers should have a background in mathematics & algorithms.
