Becoming a Digital Marketing Consultant would be a major turn in the career. And it’s not an easy task, you should have in and out industry knowledge.
Following are skills required to become digital marketing consultant
Solid digital industry experience.
Should have worked with different types of industries – Medical Devices, Manufacturing, IT, Digital marketing, Legal, Travel & Tourism, E-commerce.
You should have your strong online presence – Having your own website, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
Start engaging yourself on social media through your content / industry expertise.
Build strong network – Attend online/ offline events, try to connect with other industry experts
Register yourself for freelance work.
These are the simple skills or expertise you need to become a digital marketing consultant.
Now the question arrives if this is so simple then why I’m not getting customers? Am I right?
I’d like to answer it as per my perspective, I know there are multiple answers as per experience & prospective.
As I mentioned above you’ve to start with those things at 1st and importantly you’ve to be Consistent. This is what I've learnt from my own experience. When I started my site “Solution Influencer” I didn’t know how I’m going to do things and how I’m going to take things forward.
There was only one thing in mind that I’ve to share whatever I’ve learnt or been learning, and this is where people are lacking. There is knowledge and information, but people don’t share for free. And my whole motto behind this site is sharing the knowledge without exchanging anything with the readers.
I didn’t quit, there was a moment I thought it’s not going to work. I've to stop wasting my time. But I couldn’t quit that because I wanted to do that by heart, so I started searching, learning & implementing the proper ways and techniques.
And here are the results, You. You’re reading my blog and reading till this point means I succeeded, and I hope you’re finding it useful and motivational.
So, if you’ve started a website or blog don’t quit just keep doing it because you love doing that and success will come along.
